Quick recap, the roads in Egypt were pretty good outside the big cities. The traffic in Cairo is horrific.The road to Luxor runs parallel to the Nile and is a quite pleasant.
Roads in Africa are dangerous, especially the single carriageways where a lorry or coach will drive you off the road easily. Often the road camber alone will mean you turning the car over and probably die!! Big is king on roads in Africa, you need to be really careful all the time.
Everywhere there is water there is an oasis of green the Nile is the life line and a magnificent river too!
